Abstract

AbstractSix cases of caecal volvulus were encountered. In one, with a gangrenous caecum, a right hemicolectomy was carried out. In the other five, with a viable caecum, caecopexy using a strip of polyvinyl alcohol sponge was carried out. No complications or recurrences have followed this form of treatment.
