Abstract

This work analyses the experience of the jewish agrarian colonization in Colonia Clara, the most important of the colony settlement in the Entre Rios' Province. It studies the expectations and demands of the settlers, its social, cultural and politic institutions. The voices of the colonists settled on Entre Ríos virgin lands, the confrontations with the settlement company to become a chacarero land owner, the deception of those that were win over by the nature or the economic regime, the reach of the mutual help institutions, scholar and religious institutions are taken into account to explain other reasons of the colonies abandonment.
