Abstract

A case of purely voluntary bilateral posterior dislocation of the shoulder joint is described. There was no history of trauma and no evidence of joint disease. The possible factors underlying the capacity to dislocate the shoulder joint voluntarily are briefly discussed. The true articular space, in a distorted form, was demonstrated in the roentgenograms of the dislocated joints.
