Abstract

Introduction: The constriction of a large hernia is an acute complication, rare and serious. Observation: SD was admitted urgently to a large hernia strangled. She received emergency ileal resection followed by a pre-musculo-prefasciale prosthetic pariétoplastie. Result: The impossibility of practicing progressive preoperative pneumoperitoneum (PPP) added to the technical platform resuscitation less efficient leading to the death of our patient the 4th postoperative day in an array of pneumonia. Conclusion: In front of a large incisional hernia strangulated, it seems appropriate to treat in first intension strangulation and second time the hernia itself.
