Abstract

Volumetric laser endomicroscopy (VLE) in a 64-year-old man ith Barrett’s esophagus revealed two regions with intramuosal adenocarcinoma missed by high magnification narrow-band maging. On VLE, these regions where characterized by lack of egular striations in the architecture, jagged shaped ducts sugestive of glandular atypia, and heterogenous signal intensity onsistent with irregular nuclei (Arrows, Fig. 1; Normal, Fig. 2). istopathology on targeted endoscopic mucosal resection showed igh-grade dysplasia with focal intramucosal adenocarcinoma, and igh-grade dysplasia with papillary intramucosal adenocarcinoma, espectively.
