Abstract
We face the general problem of describing a growing material where inertial forces are not negligible, in a setting relying on a notion of micro kinetic energy coupled with growth through both a volume change and a kinetic energy supply. Numerical simulations show the dynamical response triggered by a sudden growth of material particles, possibly conveying some micro kinetic energy.
