Abstract

We consider a volume phase transition of gels which are allowed to swell or shirnk in only one or two directions. In gels, elastic anisotropy can strongly affect critical properties, two-phase coexistence, domain structures, etc. We predict stronly anisotropic scattering amplitudes.
