Abstract

War is a significantly negative social phenomenon. The goals of wars, the forms and methods of commanding combat operations change over time. However, what is very negative for the development of human society is that the destructive character of wars is increasing. The consequences of wars fall not only on the political representatives of states and on the armed forces, but also on the civilian population. Wars have negative consequences for the economy and, as a result of the existence of wars, large-scale war damage was and is still being caused. The article deals with the issue of war damage and post-war reconstruction of the economy. The author's intention is to identify the most serious damages to material, human and financial resources that arise as a result of armed conflicts. The second part of the article is devoted to the presentation of recommendations aimed at the reconstruction of the economy in countries affected by war conflict.
