Abstract

Nowadays, grass cutting machines are becoming very popular in the international market. In the conventional grass cutting machines, IC engines were used, which contributes to the increase in the pollution level. The primary purpose of this work is to reduce the use of a non-renewable resource (petrochemical products for example-fuels), control the pollution and to develop an eco-friendly automated grass cutter powered by the solar energy, and reduce the human effort to cut the grass. For the working of this, device is driven by the rechargeable batteries. For standby and powering operation, DC batteries are used. These batteries are charged using a solar panel. Node MCU microcontroller is used for controlling the device. Internet of Things (IoT)-based Android app (Blynk app) is used to access and control the device from the various distances from the robot.
