Abstract

This paper shows a performance evaluation of MPTf3xx trunking system for voice and short data transmission in the power companies environment. To carry out the evaluation, a typical cell with its voice and control channel is simulated. The possibility to modify the access frame size of the control channel depending on the number of colliding terminals is provided. Finally, the transmission of data frames on the voice channel when the control one is busy, MAP27 protocol, is explored.
