Abstract
Melismatics is one of the most popular techniques in popular vocal mu-sic, which is part of the musical culture of many peoples of the world. Mastery of this complex, technical and emotional vocal technique allows the performer to express himself/herself, «play with sounds», reveal the depth of the text and convey the deep feelings to the listener. The purpose of the article is to reveal the concept «melismatics», identify its main characteristics and features, key points of its application.
