Abstract

Culture and language in teaching and learning foreign languages are closely related. Language and culture are two inseparable parts, culture is the result of human interaction, communication behaviors and activities are specific expressions of the cultural expression of each community, each country, each nation. Therefore, when teaching languages in general and Chinese in particular, it is extremely necessary to teach and apply cultural knowledge of the target language. On the basis of applied linguistic theory, comparison and teaching practice, through the case study of the Duanwu festival, the article proposes a number of principles and methods of applying cultural knowledge in teaching Chinese in Vietnam, contributing to improving the quality of specialized teaching from the perspective of teachers.
