VMD description of tau -->( omega, phi) pi - nu tau decays and the omega - phi mixing angle.

Abstract

Using the vector meson dominance model we get predictions for the Cabibbo-favored $\tom$ and $\tphi$ decays. We show how the measurements of these two decays can provide information on the nature of the violation of the OZI rule.
