Abstract

The curing reaction of diglycidyl ether of Bisphenol A(DGEBA) with triethylene tetramine(TETA) was studied by the differential scanning calorimetry(DSC). The reaction was affected as the vitrification occurred when the glass transition temperature(Tg) of the reaction mixture exceeded the curing temperature. In order to describe the curing reaction in the rubbery state as well as in the glassy state, the reaction kinetic equation containing the generalized WLF equation term was proposed and the parameters were determined from the DSC data.
