Abstract

Vitiligo is the progressive loss of melanocytes. It is considered an acquired disorder that can occur in localized or generalized form. The localized form is relatively common in young adult dogs. However, the generalized form is rarely found In this species. This paper aims to describe the occurrence of two cases of Generalized Vitiligo in Rottweiler breed canines, aged 12 to 24 months, complaining of progressive discoloration of the areas of the black, which started in the muzzle and periocular areas. Both underwent incisional biopsies using punch, being collected skin fragments from normal and depigmented areas.
