Abstract

The incorporation of ( 3H)-5-orotic acid into ribonucleic acid of colon and small intestinal mucosa of vitamin A-deficient rats was stimulated 1.5- to 3.0-fold 2–5 hr after the intravenous administration of retinol. The stimulation was most pronounced in the RNA isolated from the nuclear fraction.
