Abstract

In the regime of low-temperature impurity breakdown the influence of a magnetic field on current filaments yields complex voltage oscillations. With a new optical technique the spatio-temporal dynamics of filaments involving nucleation, lateral movements and extinction have been visualized corresponding to a certain type of electrical oscillation.
