Abstract

Individual papillary ducts (ducts of Bellini) were visualized during excretory urography in three cases of childhood hydronephrosis. Dilatation and reorientation because of hydronephrosis, persistence of good glomerular filtrating function, and stasis with increased reabsorption of water from the filtrate in the tubules seem to be the major factors in the demonstration of these structures.
