Abstract

Case Presentation: A 40-year-old female without significant past medical history initially presented to primary care with 12 months of left-sided neck pain with point tenderness in the lower neck and minimal improvement in pain despite several weeks of physical therapy for presumed musculoskeletal pathology. She noted recent hoarseness but no dysphagia, dyspnea, and no changes to her weight or heat/cold tolerance. On exam, a discrete left-sided thyroid nodule was palpated.
