Abstract

Automated visual quality inspection using machine vision is now widely used to reduce wastage and ensure better quality of products. Numerous algorithms using computer vision were made to solve specific issues in the industry. Each of these issues is unique in some way, and so are their solutions as well. We describe a system for visual quality inspection that we developed for a client who produces some mechanical parts for automobile industry. System uses classical computer vision algorithms to achieve sub-millimeter level fault detection tolerance.
