Abstract

Myelinated retinal nerve fibers are a rare congenital developmental anomaly, which may be associated with high myopia and resulting severe amblyopia in unilateral cases. Early detection, refractive correction, and amblyopia treatment can result in improvement of visual function in cases without optic nerve hypoplasia. Limited data regarding macular thickness and lamination are available in such children.
