Abstract

In this paper, we present images of plasma structures composed by concentric plasma shells separated by successive double layers. These structures appear in a low pressure glow discharge generated between a cavity formed anode and the metallic walls of the vacuum chamber. The plasma properties, electronic temperature, and density differ at each plasma corona, and the plasma potential presents a radial stairstep spatial profile.
