Abstract

The topics discussed are video conferencing, the video telephone, visual communication using personal computers, and workstations, computer supported cooperative work, broadband ISDN, and visual communication, and future trends in digital video. Digital motion video is becoming important in telecommunications, computers, and packaged media as well as in broadcasting. Requirements for digital motion video are versatile in each of these areas. However the evolution of digital technologies should make it possible to integrate these requirements into integrated digital video.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
