Abstract
The clinical application of nail growth assessment and several methods of measuring nail growth rate are discussed. A macrophotographic technique, utilizing the fine skin creases at the base of the nail as reference points, and its application to several investigations is described in full. The paper concludes with details of a time-lapse study of a nail recovering from a tinea infection under oral griseofulvin therapy.
