Abstract

ABSTRACT A memorable visitor experience is crucial for developing a destination brand and attracting visitors to a heritage destination. Understanding visitors’ sentiments is important to enhance their experiences. To answer the research question: how effectively does Bangladesh manage its heritage attractions as tourism experiences? This research has analyzed heritage visitors’ sentiments based on online reviews datasets collected from TripAdvisor pages of 5 archeological sites in Bangladesh. This paper has identified eight dimensions associated with heritage visitors’ experiences. The findings will help heritage authorities design and implement visitor experience management strategies and deliver memorable visitor experiences. Finally, this paper has discussed practical implications and provided some recommendations to the heritage authorities in developing countries.
