Abstract

AbstractA new complex based on palladium (Fe3O4@SiO2@TiO2@Schiff base@Pd(0)) as a multifunctional photocatalyst has been successfully prepared using a facile method. Different techniques such as X‐ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT‐IR), energy dispersive spectrum (EDS), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS), vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) were applied for characterization of nano photocatalyst structure. The magnetic nano photocatalyst showed excellent catalytic activity in the Suzuki coupling reaction under visible light irradiation. This core‐shell magnetic nano photocatalyst could separate using a magnetic field from the reaction mixture and reused without a significant decrease in catalytic activity.
