Abstract
AbstractA synthetic method for the radical trifluoromethylation of enol acetates using trifluoroacetic anhydride (TFAA) is reported. This photochemical reaction is operationally simple and employs economical reagents and readily accessible enol acetate precursors. The mild conditions and good scope render this method a useful addition to the repertoire of reactions employing TFAA as a trifluoromethyl source.
