Abstract

In this paper, we propose a visibility-aware 3D models transmission method for Virtual Reality applications. The proposed method dynamically adjusts the quality of individual models based on available network resource and their visibility to maximize user-perceived quality under delay constraints. Experiment results show that the proposed method can significantly improve the viewport quality compared to conventional methods.
