Abstract
The viscosities of solutions of tetraethylammonium bromide (Et4NBr), tetrapropylammonium bromide (Pr4NBr), tetrabutylammonium bromide (Bu4NBr), tetrapentylammonium bromide (Pen4NBr), tetrahexylammonium bromide (Hex4NBr), tetraheptylammonium bromide (Hep4NBr), and tetrabutylammonium tetraphenylborate (Bu4NBPh4) have been measured at (288.15, 298.15, 308.15, and 318.15) K. The data have been analyzed by the Jones−Dole equation to evaluate the viscosity B-coefficients of the electrolytes. The resulting B-coefficient and its dependence on temperature provide useful information regarding ion−ion and ion−solvent interactions.
