Abstract

Dynamic viscosity and density of aqueous solutions of polyethylene glycols (molecular weights of 1000, 1500, 3000, 4000, 6000) are studied in the range of 293.15–323.15 K and at concentrations of up to 0.001 molar fractions. The experimental data allow calculations of the parameters of viscous flow activation and the partial molar volumes of polyethylene glycol in solutions. The concentration dependences are analyzed. It is shown that solutions transition to a more structured state as the polymer concentration is raised.
