Abstract

Summary o (1) The types, differential diagnosis and natural history of warts in children are discussed. (2) It is suggested that early diagnosis of all types of warts, combined with radical treatment of plantar warts, plus the use of suitable treatments for warts elsewhere, might well lead to a fall in incidence of warts in school children. (3) The treatment of various types of warts in schoolchildren is discussed, and the radical method of destruction of plantar warts with diathermy under general anaesthesia is recommended.
