Abstract

In information system of Computer Networks, there are many computer viruses that can do fatal damage to some individual computer systems. Despite its prominent services and facilities that have provided to its users, the wireless technology is still presenting various deficiencies that should be handled in order to satisfy its users' requirements. The ability to damage is basically decided by their mechanisms of regenerating. The virus propagation behavior in wireless and peer-to-peer communications devices is still immature. The spread of digital viruses and malicious content is still an ever increasing threat which requires a counteracting mechanism. All anti-viruses software already existed are too difficult to kill a variety of computer viruses. The challenge in detecting and preventing viruses is to distinguish legitimate activities from those caused by viruses. Owing to the lack of prevention ability of traditional anti-virus methods, in which the complete protection from viral infection is not feasible. A compartmental-based virus propagation and prevention model for detecting and preventing unknown virus has been developed for wireless communication devices which incorporates wireless technological traits and factors that are known to affect virus propagation including human behaviors, heterogeneous devices and antivirus measures.
