Abstract

Improved crosstalk performance of multistage wavelength routing networks is highlighted. Two major properties are observed: m-stage N × N wavelength routing networks achieve a superior crosstalk figure by ~10log[(N–1)/ln(N)] dB than that of single-stage networks, and serve as N1-1/m × N1-1/m virtually crosstalk-free wavelength routing networks.
