Abstract

Two simple examples are presented to show that Kinematics vectorial expressions typically used in Dynamics problems can also be used in the method of Virtual Work as an alternative to express the geometric constraints of Statics problems. The approach can help engineering students learn two subjects that may otherwise appear disconnected.
