Abstract

The promotion of new energy power generation technology has exacerbated the instability of the power system. The virtual synchronous generator (VSG) can make up for the lack of inertia and damping of the interface equipment, and simulate the characteristics of the synchronous generator to provide support for the grid. However, the parameter setting of VSG is relatively complicated, and the standard fruit fly optimization algorithm (FOA) can select better parameters for the VSG system. However, due to the fixed step length and the defects of the algorithm itself, FOA cannot make the control effect optimal. This paper proposes a VSG system based on Improved FOA control. By comparing the simulation waveforms of grid power and frequency, the superiority of the improved FOA to the VSG system is verified.
