Virtual size parameter for the scaling of far-from-equilibrium fluctuations at the onset of a center manifold

Abstract

We consider open reactive systems for which the phase space contraction corresponds to the onset of a center manifold emerging beyond a chemical instability. Each possible unfolding has, associated with it, an inherent scaling relationship between its small characteristic parameters.
