Abstract

One of the ways to connect to a computer is through a virtual reality that is also changing and evolving. It is considered that the new medium of expression is also one of the new, fundamentally revisionist ways. Virtual reality (VR) is used to enhance imagination and as a resource to address the complex technological problems that actually occur in the field of architecture. Thus, this paper presents a discussion on the role of virtual reality in the field of architecture. The paper focuses on how virtual reality can help architecture evolve. The research method adopted in this study is to collect information from secondary data of research journals and published articles, and further analyze the role and evolution of virtual reality in the architectural perspective. Nowadays, it is seen that virtual reality is becoming more of an architect's and a client's attention. In addition, it was found that VR improves the accuracy and sincerity of architectural communication in architectural design. During the development of architectural technology, computer-aided design (CAD) and virtual reality have been introduced as the main media of architectural visualization. Hence, it is concluded that VR has an important role in the field of building architecture and design.
