Abstract

The aim of the paper is to determine the role and place of the virtual object of culture in the process of complex musealisation activities as a leading system for the formation and preservation of cultural memory.Research methodology is based on the culturological approach with the use of analysis, synthesis and historical methods.Results. It has been found that the active development of information and communication technologies laid the foundation for the formation of effective tools for working with information within the framework of musealisation activities and provided for the formation of a new virtual space for communication and practical activities whose objects could be included in the system of formation and preservation of cultural memory. The rethinking of the notion of cultural property in the legal and scientific context, caused by the influence of modern socio-cultural transformations, has created conditions for the full inclusion of virtual objects in the process of preserving cultural memory within the framework of the main forms of actualization of the cultural heritage.Novelty. The paper presents an attempt to consider the virtual objects of culture as a resource base for the implementation of the complex musealisation activities aimed at the formation and preservation of cultural memory.The practical significance. Ukrainian museums may find the information contained in this paper useful for developing a new strategy of communicating process in the virtual space.
