Abstract
This paper presents the applications of LabVIEW tools in the field of electrical engineering for student-centric learning such as power factor measurement, AC-to-DC converters, speed control of induction and DC motor drive. LabVIEW is a powerful graphical interface and user-friendly tool designed specifically for test, measurement and control. The power factor of resistive and inductive loads, the performance parameters of fully controlled converters and speed control of induction motor are performed in LabVIEW with DAQ device USB 6009. The speed control of a DC motor is performed with PI-speed controller using LabVIEW control and simulation toolkit and fuzzy logic controller. Measurement results are presented to validate the feasibility of system.
