Abstract

We are very delighted that the 2nd International Conference on Environment Sciences and Renewable Energy (ESRE 2020) has come to a great success. Due to the effect of COVID-19, almost all countries have also imposed visa restrictions and travel restrictions. Under these circumstances and considering all participants safety, ESRE 2020 can’t be hold onsite, conference committee finally decided to hold ESRE 2020, from May 18 to 21, 2020, as online meeting.ESRE 2020 is hold by Hong Kong Chemical, Biological & Environmental Engineering Society (HKCBEES). HKCBEES was founded in 2007 being an independent, scientific research and development organization and it’s located in Unit 1112, 11/F, Wing On Plaza, 62 Mody Road, Tsim Sha Tsui East, Kowloon, Hong Kong. For this online conference, we have 37 attendees in all, including 4 keynote speakers, 31 authors and 2 listeners. For keynote speeches, every keynote speaker has 40 minutes presentation, 35 minutes presentation and 5 minutes questions and answers. For author presentation, every author has 12 minute for presentation and 3 minutes for questions and answers. Researchers, engineers, students, industry, investors and people from all walks of life interested in Environment Sciences and Renewable Energy to share their experiences and lessons with other enthusiasts, and develop opportunities for cooperation.In early 2020, as the COVID-19 epidemic worsened, many companies and schools began working remotely. During the epidemic, Zoom became a popular social platform. Zoom Rooms is the original software-based conference room solution used around the world in board, conference, huddle, and training rooms. This time we use ZOOM to organize the conference. During this meeting, all the participants were proficient in using this Zoom and achieved a good communication with each other.In brief, although under the novel Coronavirus influence, our online conference was a complete success. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to organizing committee and the volunteers who had dedicated their time and efforts in planning, promoting, organizing and helping the online conference and thank all the conference participants for their support to ESRE 2020.
