Abstract

A virtual and remote experimentation platform was implemented for the learning of the Databases at the Universidad Veracruzana. The background of the laboratories where virtual and remote experimentations were carried out was investigated, as well as the theoretical foundation necessary to be able to carry out the design and implementation of a platform that supports the learning of the bases of data. This virtual experimentation platform was implemented through the Moodle tool as Virtual Educational Environment, which was hosted in the hosting called: Virtual Link where the theoretical knowledge of the database study program was developed. The instructional design considered elements as a unit of competence, development of the relevant content, evaluation and great diversity of Web 3.0 elements. We selected as a population to carry out the virtual platform use to students who were studying the educational experience of Data Bases in the Bachelor in Computer Systems Administration Xalapa. This project supports learning through the virtual and remote experimentation platform, as well as a methodology that allows the design, development and implementation of practical database exercises. The results show the dynamism and simplicity that virtual and remote experimentation can have for the teaching of databases, in addition to having achieved great acceptance by students because it is used through a mobile device.
