Abstract

Addressing burnout faced by health care professionals and reducing stigma and other barriers for those seeking support without repercussions to their medical license are among the goals set by the Medical Society of Virginia. The state became the first to change laws to ensure that doctors' medical records could be protected. Plans are underway to expand the initiative nationally.
