Abstract

Virginia mental health advocates are calling for mental health reform following the death of a 28‐year‐old man experiencing a mental health crisis at a state hospital while still in the custody of the sheriff's deputies. Advocates said it is not the first time they have pushed for reform following the tragic death of an individual in crisis.
