Abstract

1. A number of vinyl (2-hydroxy-3-aminopropoxy)alkyl ethers was synthesized by the reaction of 1-(vinyloxyalkoxy)propylene 2,3-oxides with primary and secondary amines. 2. The reaction of the 1-(vinyloxyalkoxy)propylene 2,3-oxides with aqueous trimethylamine solution gives quaternary ammonium bases (choline derivatives), while reaction with methyl iodide gives polymeric quaternary ammonium salts. 3. The pharmacological testing of the obtained amines disclosed that they have hypotensive and spasmolytic action, lower the motive activity, and upset the coordination of motion.
