Abstract
The article presents brief review of the VIII Annual Academic Seminar on Taiwan Studies “Taiwan: From Past to Present”, which was held on the 23rd of November, 2021 in the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Scholars and experts from three Russian cities (Moscow, Novosibirsk and Vladivostok) and colleagues form Tokyo and Taipei participated in this seminar. During discussion questions related to historical, contemporary and future development of Taiwan were touched.
