Abstract

ABSTRACT This article argues for viewing moral injury as an attachment injury. We show how Relational-Cultural Theory may be applied to treat and research moral injury. We broaden the construct of moral injury, make moral injury more culturally responsive, and outline how treatment for moral injury may be improved. The paper includes a case study to illustrate how Relational-Cultural Theory may be utilized to treat moral injury.
