Abstract

Vietnam's port system occupies a special place in the East Asian region, which is currently the world leader in the port industry and sea transportation. Over the past twenty years, Vietnam has been significantly ahead of its regional neighbors in terms of the average annual increase in port capacity. High port indicators become a response to an active state policy in this area. The article is devoted to the study of the increasing role of Vietnamese ports in the East Asian port system, the analysis of the current development and key problems of the port industry of Vietnam.
