Abstract
El golpe de Estado del 17-18 de julio de 1936 desembocó en la Guerra Civil española. El diario ABC, conservador y monárquico, tenía dos ediciones, una en Madrid y otra en Sevilla. La edición sevillana quedó en territorio rebelde y continuó con su línea editorial anterior. La madrileña fue incautada y controlada por Unión Republicana. Este artículo analiza las 777 viñetas publicadas en ABC de Madrid durante la guerra. Este material contribuyó a mantener la moral alta en el frente y en la retaguardia y constituyó un canal primordial de propaganda republicana.
