Abstract

Recent guidelines advocate parenchymal preserving surgery, including bronchial sleeve lobectomy for low-grade neuroendocrine tumours. Segmentectomy and bronchoplasty may further improve parenchymal preservation, whilst respecting oncological principles. Robotic-assisted thoracic surgery (RATS) bronchial sleeve lobectomy has been shown to be safe and effective. This paper reports the second-in-man robotic segmentectomy with sleeve bronchoplasty.
