Abstract

Objective To explore the value of video-EEG in the diagnosis of non-epileptic seizures in clinic patients.Methods The clinical and video-EEG data were retrospectively analyzed in 129 clinic patients with nonepilepsy.Results Among the 129 patients,24 were clinically diagnosed as syncope,19 as headache,15 as transient loss of consciousness,15 as neurosis,13 as dizziness,6 as transient ischemic attack,and 37 as other disorders.There were 16 patients with paroxysmal abnormal EEG,3 with epileptiform discharges,and 9 with clinical seizures during EEG detection.Conclusions Video-EEG has an important value in the diagnosis of non-epileptic seizures in clinic patients.
